The first 3 days in New Year are the most important days for Japanese.

They go to a temple or shrine to appreciate that they could end the last year without any big problems, 

and pray

the peace, health and happiness for this coming year.

Since there is neither temples nor shrine in Berlin,

I held a new year's ceremony, with sitting in Undo and celebrating the opening of the year.

Then we had some Japanese green tea with sweets.

We felt very Japanese - Miki Maeda (ILOHA : www.iloha.de) made up our place into the Japanese New year's atmosphere and provided the beautiful sweets) 

I hope we have peaceful 2016.
