すること、しないこと

土曜はベルリンで開催された教育と経済に関するカンファレンスに三歳児と一緒に招待頂き参加してきました。招待してくれたのは故郷山陰の鳥取市と姉妹都市提携を結んでいるヘッセン州ハーナウ市のGerturdさん。元気いっぱいな92歳のおばあちゃんです。とってもとっても好い一日になりました。

カンファレンスは11時から。作務をして、進行の鐘を頼み、満員の雲堂を途中でぬけて童と電車で会場に向かいます。その道すがら、彼曰く。

「おとうさん、なんでザゼンしなかったの」

他のことに夢中になったかと思うとフトまた。曰く

「おとうさん、なんでザゼンしなかったの」

何度も、それでいて別に責める様子もなく、ただ、聞いてくる。もう忘れたかと思った帰りの電車の中でも。曰く

「おとうさん、なんでザゼンしなかったの」

全部あわせて七回ほど聞かれたでしょうか。勿論、堂々とそれに応えられる理由や背景はいくらでもありました。しかし、それらをもってしても尚、ザゼンが「不可能」だったでしょうか。否、やはり「不可能」とは言えません。うぬ、なかなか・・・

土曜日が今後の生き方を大きく変えるほど有意義な好日になったのは、カンファレンスのおかげだけではなかったのかもしれません。

I went to a conference (of new education for a new economy) in Berlin last Saturday with the 3 years old boy. Gertrud-san who lives in Hanau invited me to the conference(Hanau is a town in Hesse, located 25km east of Frankfurt am Main. Hanau is also twinned with Tottori, my home town in Japan). She is 92 years old and full of energy to walk and talk. It was such a fine day.

The conference starts from 11:00. I made SAMU, asked a person to facilitate the session, leave UNDO, and headed for the place by train, with the child. On the train, this 3 years boy said,

"OTOSAN, WHY DIDN'T YOU ZAZEN?"

He played around, and again, he said

"OTOSAN, WHY DIDN'T YOU ZAZEN?"

It seems he said that with no blame feeling, just asking with curious. On the returning way after several hours, he suddenly came up with this question and said,

"OTOSAN, WHY DIDN'T YOU ZAZEN?"

Again and again, totally it was like 7 or 8 times in the end! Of course, I had so many "positive and certain" reasons to answer that question. However, did it mean that it was "IMPOSSIBLE to Zazen"?

No. It was NOT IMPOSSIBLE. Nununununu...

Saturday was a wonderful day, Not only because of the conference...

Ich ging zu einer Konferenz (neuer Ausbildung für eine neue Wirtschaft) in Berlin am vergangene Samstag mit dem 3 Jahre alter Junge. Gertrud-san, die in Hanau lebt lud mich zu der Konferenz (Hanau ist eine Stadt in Hessen, etwa 25km östlich von Frankfurt am Main. Hanau ist auch mit Tottori, meiner Heimatstadt in Japan Partnerstadt). Sie ist 92 Jahre alt und voller Energie zu gehen und zu sprechen. Es war ein schöner Tag, wie.

Die Konferenz beginnt ab 11:00 Uhr. Ich habe SAMU, fragte eine Person, um die Sitzung zu erleichtern, lassen Sie UNDO, und ging zum Platz mit dem Zug, mit dem Kind. Im Zug, sagte dieser 3Jahre Junge,

"OTOSAN, Warum hast du nicht ZAZEN?

Er spielte herum, und wieder, sagte er

"OTOSAN, Warum hast du nicht ZAZEN?

Immer wieder. Mit jeder Schuld, nur fragen, mit neugierig(?). Auf dem Weg der Rückkehr nach mehreren Stunden, kam er plötzlich mit dieser Frage erneut

"OTOSAN, Warum hast du nicht ZAZEN?

Natürlich hatte ich so viele "positive und bestimmte" Gründe, diese Frage zu beantworten. Allerdings konnte er sich, dass es "IMPOSSIBLE zu Zazen"?

Nein, es war nicht "IMPOSSIBLE" Nununununu...

Samstag war ein wunderschöner Tag, nicht nur, weil der Konferenz...
